I am a CA by background having trained with PWC. I have been the CFO for an independent oil production company for the last 7 years - initially we were dual listed on the Toronto stock exchange and TSX. However, having grown the company we sold the business in a $1Billion deal last year and it is now privately owned. Prior to this I ran a £100m conglomerate group for a wealthy multimillionaire with interest ranging from, oil services, textile manufacturing, property, pubs and restaurants and rare whisky wholesale. 5 businesses were early stage when we made initial capital investments.
